The history of Tods began at the beginning of the 20th century. The founder of the brand is the shoemaker Filippo Della Valle. He set the course for his brand by manufacturing the first shoes – not yet under the Tod’s name at that time – which could already be exported to North America by his son. Tods rise to an international brand was made possible by Della Valle’s grandson Diego. He first called the company JP Tod’s, later it became simply Tods. Today the brand is one of the most successful fashion companies in the world and it is impossible to imagine the fashion world without it. Whenever the famous Loafers are involved, the French designer always comes to mind first and foremost.
